Escanaba in da Moonlight
By Jeff Daniels
Directed by Charles "Skip" Grover
Get a glimpse of life in the north woods as a bunch of Yoopers share their story in the hilarious and twisted tale, Escanaba in da Moonlight. We join these Yoopers on the annual Soady family hunting trip in the U.P. The head of the family, Albert Soady, the oldest son, has not followed in the family footsteps. Reuben is known around Escanaba as the "Buckless Yooper," and as he attempts to break this streak of bad luck, strange things happen at the Soady camp. Is the camp cursed? Will this be the season Rueben's luck changes, or will he go down in the family history as the oldest Soady to never bag a buck? "Escanaba in da Moonlight is a tall tale inspired by a larger than life corner of America . . . Daniels gives his audience plenty to laugh at plus a little something to think about." --The Oakland Press
