ARTSFEST '06 CELEBRATES ROCK COUNTY ARTS Rock County will celebrate the arts on September 22 and 23rd as the United Arts Alliance celebrates its 10th anniversary with ArtsFest at the Janesville Performing Arts Center and park.
The two days of art will begin with FREE admission to Art Happening on Friday, Sept. 23 from 11a.m. to 7 p.m. Over 30 fine artists will be exhibiting, demonstrating and encouraging hands-on participation.

On Saturday, ArtsFest continues from 11a.m.-5:30 p.m. for only $5/person or $20/family. Live performances will begin every half-hour inside on the JPAC stage and outside in the park. Entertainers performing will include: The Badger Chordhawks Chorus, Choral Union, Leslie Damaso, Heat Wave, The Hedberg Public Library, Janesville Little Theatre, MacDowell Music Club, SpotLight On Kids, Sterling North Society, The Sweet Adelines, Greg Winkler, Winners of the Friends of JATV-12 Talent Show . . . and more.
Artists will continue to exhibit, demonstrate and sell their art while encouraging hands-on participation to create a new art piece. Throughout the day there will be opportunities to participate in both a raffle and silent auction to win original artwork and other items including JPAC performance tickets, CDs and more. Roving performers will share their artistry while food and beverages will be available from local vendors such as the Deli Dog House, the Metropolitan, Mocha Moment and Dip 'n Dots. At 5:00p.m., sharing UAA's anniversary "birthday cake", beverages. and the winners of the raffle and silent auction will be announced.
The United Arts Alliance is a coalition of artists, individuals, cultural facilities, and arts organizations organized in 1996 to create an environment that encourages a variety of opportunities to enlighten, enrich and develop artistic growth in the Rock County area by supporting excellence in area performing and fine arts while encouraging participation and appreciation of the arts.
