Spinning Into Butter
By Rebecca Gilman
Directed by Anne-Marie Cammarato
At a small Vermont college, someone is posting racist notes on an African American student's door. Sarah Daniels, the dean of students, rushes to calm the emotional whirlwind, but before the play's startling end, she must confront her own feelings about race. It's a jarring look at racism in America and the surprising places it hides. The Chicago Tribune called Spinning Into Butter "an extraordinarily fresh, eloquent and candid new play."
