The Skin of Our Teeth
By Thornton Wilder
Directed by Jeffrey Knupp
Written by Madison's own Thornton Wilder, author of Our Town, this Pulitzer Prize-winning satire deals with the trials and tribulations of the Antrobus family as we follow this "Everyman" and his kin through the Ice Age, Noah's flood, and World War III. As funny and entertaining as it is poignant, this play has been called a testament of faith in humanity.
The N.Y. Herald Tribune termed it "wonderfully wise . . . a tremendously exciting and profound stage fable."
MTG is very proud to welcome back as director, local theater artist Jeffrey Knupp. Mr. Knupp has been doing theater in Madison for more than 20 years, directing numerous productions for MTG and Strollers Theatre. His last production as director for MTG was School for Scandal in 1995. Long time MTG audience members may remember his thrilling production of A Few Good Men in 1994. Mr. Knupp also acts frequently in productions at the Madison Repertory Theatre.
Produced by Madison Theatre Guild in the Drury Theatre at the Esquire Theater.
