Rob! in 'hood!

Directed by John Kremm

Our third holiday show in the British pantomime tradition is a refreshing antidote to nutcrackers and ghosts. Part fractured fairy tale, part Forbidden Broadway, with healthy doses of vaudeville, slapstick, and double entendre, Rob! in 'hood! is a broad retelling of the legendary story of the outlaw who robs from the rich to give to the poor, battles the evil Sheriff of Notthingham, and saves the lovely Maid Marion. But the high jinks don't stop there. In true panto style the principal boy is played by a girl; the grande dame is played by a man; and the animals have decidedly human characteristics. This larger-than-life tale is guaranteed to be fun for kids of all ages.

Produced by Madison Theatre Guild on the Drury stage in the Bartell Theatre (formerly the Esquire Theater.)
