The Comedy of ErrorsBy William Shakespeare
Directed by Jonathan Smoots, Based on the 1997 version directed by James Bohnen
"What errors drive our eyes and ears amiss?" Comic confusions and mistaken identities abound when Antipholus of Syracuse and his slave, Dromio, arrive in Ephesus. Unbeknownst to them, their long-lost twin brothers (also named Antipholus and Dromio) are residents of the town. After the visitors encounter total strangers declaring kinship, creditors demanding payment and women claiming marriage, they cannot be blamed for believing that the town is bewitched. One of Shakespeare's earliest works, The Comedy of Errors is his most rollicking comedy.
