Calls for Submissions
Call for submissions: Creative Alliance of Baraboo's MaCABre
Calling all writers, sometime writers, first time writers or maybe you just wrote a note once...MaCABre is a go! And with that we are seeking submissions! We are accepting script submissions from local authors for this Halloween based performance.
Send scripts to email@example.com.
Please submit your scripts by Aug. 21st
Script Selection Criteria:
When considering submissions, our script selection committee will be looking for the following:
-Script submissions should be double spaced with a san serif font at least 12 point
-Scripts should be 10 minutes or less in length.
-Unpublished, original works
-Matching the selected theme of Halloween-related scenes
-Scenes can be funny, or may fall more under the thriller/horror category
-Scenes should not exceed an estimated PG-13 rating in terms of language, sexual content and/or violence
-Suitability for staging at multiple venues (small cast size of no more than 5 actors and not requiring much in terms of set or lighting)
-Not in conflict with a general spirit of human equality
Consent and Release
Authors of selected scripts will be asked to sign a consent and release form, giving CAB the right to stage the selected scene(s) without any royalties due. CAB will then have permission to produce your script(s) for this production only. Your scripts, whether selected or not, will remain your personal intellectual property.
Call for submissions: Forward Theater Company's 2023 Monologue Festival
WRITERS: ATTENTION, WRITERS! We are now accepting submissions for our next Monologue Festival, Out in This World, through October 1, 2022. We can't wait to see the journeys you'll take us on, both familiar and unexpected. Whether venturing to faraway places or making discoveries closer to home, we look forward to hearing the unique and diverse voices of playwrights from around the state, country, and world. For more information and guidelines, please visit the submissions page on our website: https://bit.ly/3ggUJ3d.
