Pile of Cats is a fringe theatre company in Madison, WI, dedicated to showcasing a broad spectrum of performers in original works. We perform at various non-traditional venues in plays and shorts that focus on the things that people don't like to talk about. And we're pretty much always funny.

Pile of Cats presents adult subject matter intended for mature audiences. No, it's not burlesque or porn, it's the things people deal with every day, like stress and anxiety, gender roles and expectations, family history and pressure, and personal and workplace identity. We also eschew many of the usual traps and trappings of theatre, focusing on the actors and the story and the audience above all.
