Twisted Tales of Poe: The Radio Play
By Philip Grecian
Directed by Melissa Schnepper & David Sobeski
The show is based on four mysterious stories from Edgar Allan Poe and written by Philip Grecian.
It’s a staged production of an old-time radio show with actors in multiple roles, spooky sound effects created on stage, and old-timey radio ads written for local sponsors -- all performed in front of a live audience.
The three live "Sound Effects Artists" are the most fun to watch while they bring the show to life slamming doors, rattling chains, and cranking the wind machine. What really creates the eerie mood is live organ music played throughout the show, just like an old-fashioned silent movie.
To help ensure the safety of our patrons, seating will be limited and socially distanced, and masks will be required in the building. This serious drama is most appropriate for adults and teens.
