Snow White Goes West
By Prince Street Players
Directed by Joanne Dexter; Matt Larson
"Snow White Goes West" is an adaptation of the original story of Snow White, except that it takes place during the 1849 Gold Rush in California. That's not all that's different, though. Instead of having Dwarfs like in the original, we have the seven Dwarf Brothers. And rather than a wicked queen, we have a nasty saloon owner by the name of Queenie. Following Queenie's every move and doing most of her dirty work is her most favorite companion, Sneaky Sam. As always there's a Prince ...except that Prince is his last name, and he's the newly appointed Marshall of the territory. Then we have Snow White and her father, Pa. This is a fun-filled show, with some big production numbers, lots of comedy and, of course, some dancing!
