The character breakdown (some roles will be double-cast):

Gillian--female, thirties. A teacher. Very pretty, heart recently broken.
Joel--male, teenager. 11th grade. Nice enough, but not that bright.
Principal Wanaki--Older male. Voice part only. Cranky, beyond the point of caring anymore.
Tommy--A father in his 40’s. Tired, sensitive, sardonic.
Steve--male, teenage. 12th grade. Sullen, mawkish. Apparently some kind of troublemaker.
Nora--Teenage girl. Mildly sociopathic. Not going to the prom.
Helena--Teenage girl. Somewhat less sociopathic than Nora. Also not going to the prom.
Larry--male, teenager, in a tux. The kind of kid who thinks too much, maybe.
Benny--male, teenager, in a tux and backwards baseball cap. A bit of a bro.
Barry--40's-50's. Teacher. Grumpy, and brimming with bigotry.
Jaxon--30's. Teacher. More liberal than Barry.
Harry--male, teenager...but we will also see him later as a teacher in his 40's.
Janet--female, teenager. She may want to make a clean break from her hometown after graduation.
Micha--female, teenager, in a prom dress. Vapes. Mildly gothy.
Shelby--Female, a teacher in her 20's. This is her first prom.
Lana--Female, a teacher in her 50's. This is her 30th prom.
Marianne--female, teenager, in a prom dress. It looked nicer at the beginning of the night.
Judy--female, teenager, in a prom dress she made herself (but you wouldn't know it). She goes to a different high school. One that doesn't have the budget for a chocolate fountain
