Music Theatre of Madison 2019-2020 Auditions

Music Theatre of Madison will hold auditions for its 2019-2020 productions of HEPHAESTUS (August 16-24, 2019-Seeking one role), HELD (October 2019-Seeking all roles), TEN DAYS IN A MADHOUSE (Three-year workshop process-Seeking all roles), and INDECENT (January 30-February 15, 2020-Seeking six roles).

Auditions will be held January 26 from 7-9pm and February 2 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. See below for signup information.

Location: TAPIT/New Works Studio, 1957 Winnebago St.

The door for entry is behind the studio. Please do not enter from Winnebago St. Enter off of Russell Street to find the back door of the space. Click here for a map. A sign will be placed on the door.

Please do not arrive at the space any earlier than one half hour earlier than the times specified for the start of one will be there to open the door for you.

Please do not ring the doorbell.

Please do not park in the lot. Street parking should be available. We recommend giving yourself plenty of time to arrive. The 3, 4, 7, 10, and 37 buses stop right in front of TAPIT.

What to bring:
-Two contrasting musical theatre pieces written after 1990, no longer than one minute each, that show range and storytelling ability. An accompanist will be provided. If you wish to be considered for INDECENT, you may substitute one song with a monologue not to exceed one and a half minutes, but you donít have to do so and may still be considered without a monologue, if you indicate that you are interested.

-Two copies of your headshot and resume. If you donít have a formal headshot, a snapshot is fine.

Video auditions: Video auditions should be sent to by 7:00 p.m. on February 2. Please follow all of the above criteria. Please upload your video to YouTube and send a link in order to avoid difficulty in opening it. Video attachments to e-mail will not be opened. Please attach photo and resume to the e-mail.
