It’s time for seconds!

Treat yourself to a heaping helping of humor, heart and genuine Italian cooking when “Mangia, Mangia!” returns for luncheon matinee performances at Bunky’s Café, in their new location.

“Mangia, Mangia,” the hit play from TAPIT/new works Ensemble Theater, brings Madison’s legendary Greenbush neighborhood to life through comedy, drama, old family photos and more.

Based on interviews with former Greenbush residents and a series of cookbooks featuring recipes and memories of the Greenbush by Catherine Tripalin Murray, “Mangia, Mangia!”’ transports audiences to a time when less was more – except when it came to food.

The buffet lunch, provided by Bunky’s Café, is just as authentic, thanks to co-owner Teresa Pullara-Ouabel’s family recipes. In the restaurant’s intimate setting, the intergenerational cast of “Mangia, Mangia!” offers a theatrical tribute to the good times and tastes of the Greenbush.

Performance Times: 12:30 pm on Sunday, November 15. Doors open at 12:30 pm, with the “Mangia, Mangia!” performance beginning at 1 pm and lunch at 2:15.
