New Play Features Food, Fun & Memories
They say you are what you eat and “Mangia Mangia,” a new play from TAPIT/new works Ensemble Theater, will show how this happens. Weaving together tales from Italian neighborhoods with authentic recipes, tastings and audience participation, “Mangia Mangia” will how show how food connects people across cultures and generations.
Madison’s own Greenbush neighborhood provides the focus and the flavor of the play, thanks to help from the memories of many Madisonian’s, as well as Catherine Tripalin Murray and her books about the Greenbush.Authentic Greenbush flavor comes from Teresa Pullara-Ouabel, of Bunky’s Restaurant, who will prepare the samples of family recipes featured in the play.
