Lost in Yonkers

By Neil Simon

Directed by J. Patrick

Simon's Pulitzer Award winning semi-autobiographical play shows the playwright both onstage at age 16 and, in the writing itself, as a legendary playwright at the pinnacle of his extraordinary career. Jay and Arty Kurnitz (aged 16 and 13 respectively) have come to live with their domineering grandmother above her candy store in Yonkers in 1942. Full of wry and astute observations on life, love, and the human condition, the play has been making audiences laugh uproariously even as these beautifully realized characters touch their hearts.
