Rock River Repertory Theatre Company will present the Tony Award winning musical that has thrilled audiences around the world, LES MISÉRABLES. This international smash-hit may be the most popular musical in the world. In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter. His world-view shattered, Javert commits suicide, and Valjean at last attains the peace he has sought for so long.

River Repertory Theatre Company will be holding open auditions for the Tony Award winning musical that has thrilled audiences around the world.

Auditions will be held August 18 and 19 at 6:00pm at The Edgerton Performing Arts Center 200 Elm High Dr. Edgerton, WI 53534. Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of a song from LES MISÉRABLES or MISS SAIGON. Please bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. You may not sing a cappella or with a karaoke cd. It is recommended and encouraged that you bring a photo and theatre resume. These will not be returned. Auditions are open to anyone 16 years and older. Girls and Boys ages 5-15 must audition Saturday, August 16 at 12:00pm at the Edgerton Performing Arts Center. Girls auditioning will be asked to sing “Castle on a Cloud”.
