Fake Mom
By Jan Levine Thal
Directed by Jan Levine Thal
A serio-comedy about interfaith interracial relationships. Lynn, who is African-American, and Barry, who is white and Jewish, plan to marry. Barry wants to hire a professional "fake mom" to coach him on how to tell their less-than-enthusiastic families. Lynn thinks it's a waste of money. Their gay roommate, Jules, a therapist, offers an alternative plan. And that's just the first 20 minutes.
