A Crooked French Affair
By Kim E. Ruyle
Directed by Ben Ruyle
A Crooked French Affair is about Perry, a wannabe playwright/director, finally getting his first play produced at the Pity Falls Community Playhouse. What should be a dramatic show with a sweeping French romance quickly turns chaotic thanks to a dysfunctional board, amateur and inept actors, junior-high set designers, and a scandalous offstage affair. By opening night, everything goes hilariously off the rails—leading to an unforgettable performance and a surprising discovery for Perry.
