A Christmas Carol: A Cultural Heirloom
By Charles Dickens, adapted by p. m. strain
Directed by Patrick M. Strain
Dickens "A Christmas Carol" told simply and elegantly, lightly seasoned with beautiful carols. This stage adaptation, written for the Zona Gale Young People's Theatre in 2007, frames the story at a family Christmas gathering...but not just any family...these are the descendants of the Cratchits. Presented with simple theatrical conventions and with fidelity to the original story, this version is sure to be loved by both Dickens aficionados and a new generation.
This year, the show is presented in collaboration with the Portage High School, and will be presented at the Portage High School auditorium.Produced by Zona Gale Young People's Theater at Portage High School Auditorium, 301 E. Collins St., Portage, WI
