CTM is now casting adult actors for its 22/23 season. In-person auditions will be on June 27th at MYArts, 1055 E. Mifflin St., Madison. MOLE HILL STORIES: adapted by Alvaro Saar Rios, directed by Jamal Howard.
• 6 adults (1M, 1F, 4 Any); several roles require actor to identify as Latinx.
• Whimsical fables woven together using movement and music incorporating Spanish and English.
• Some roles include singing.
• Actors who can play musical instruments are a plus.
• Contract dates: Sept 13 – Oct 30, 2022

• 13 Adults, (4M. 3F, 6 any)
• Actively seeking a multi-racial, multi-cultural cast.
• A new adaptation, faithful to the original, with an emphasis on community.
• Non-musical but some roles will sing.
• Contract dates: Nov 1 – Dec 23, 2022

FINDER AND THE NORTH STAR: World Premiere by Erica Berman, directed by C. Michael Wright.
• 3 Adults.
• A journey of self-discovery.
• Actors comfortable with physical storytelling (creative movement, ensemble, devised-style work) will be a good fit for this piece.
• Contract dates: Jan 17 – Mar 5, 2023

PETER PAN: A musical based on the play by Sir J.M. Barrie, directed by Roseann Sheridan. The classic story with the original score and including full flying effects.
• 9 Adults (mixed/any).
• The role of Captain Hook has been cast.
• *Note: this version omits the racist portrayal of Native Americans; that group of characters is reconceived as strong young women who are protectors of the land.
• Contract dates: March 14 – April 30, 2023

What to prepare for in-person or virtual audition:
• Prepare ONE of the following: A short monologue from a play or musical; A retelling of a classic fable in your own words; a poem/spoken word piece. (max 2 mins)
• For singing roles: 16-32 bars of a contemporary musical theater song (bring sheet music clearly marked; accompanist provided. Bluetooth “karaoke” tracks an option)
• If you play a portable musical instrument, please bring it and play a brief piece that demonstrates your proficiency; all musical styles welcome.

When you sign up for an audition, please indicate which show(s) you are available and interested in. All adult actors are paid. Housing is provided for a limited number of out of town actors.

Most roles are for non-union actors. We invite performers with all levels of experience and specializations – dancers, singers, musicians, acrobats/aerialists, spoken word artists... as well as traditionally trained actors.

We welcome actors of any gender identity to play any character.

This season’s shows are heavily reliant on racial and cultural diversity in casting to effectively tell the stories.
