The WInter Project is a permanent theatre ensemble who, in close collaboration, investigates individual and community traditions in the development of the actor's training and creation of original performance work. The WInter Project's work concentrates on folktales, songs, dances, and dramatic text from various cultures, hoping to cross boundaries through artistic work. As an ensemble of artists working without the presence of a single director, part of The WInter Project's mission includes: the practice of creative collaborative relationships, artistic collaboration with other theatre groups, the development of educational programs within its community, and the presentation of its performances to special audiences such as schools, senior and foster homes, mental institutions, and prisons, with the purpose of going beyond theatre's function as entertainment and promoting exchange with diverse groups of our society.
