MiROC Performs a Stage Adaptation of Pink Floyd's "The Wall"

Midwest Rock Opera Company, MiROC Announces Stage Adaptation of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" Starring Nationally-Recognized Performers. Milwaukee, WI -- Midwest Rock Opera Company, MiROC will be performing a stage adaptation of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" later this month. "The Wall" will be performed at the new theatre home to MiROC, the Scottish Rite Center. The show features nationally-recognized performers such as Scott Lucas, from the band Local H. Xeno, whose previous band credits include Cheap Trick and Bad Boy, lends his musical talents for the first, three shows. MiROC's stage adaptation includes choreography and dance by The Milwaukee Ballet, as well as MiROC's own HipHop Dance Troupe. Two talented belly dance troupes open for the show. The Barika Belly Dance Troupe storm the stage for the first, three shows. The Blue Lotus Belly Dance Tribe from Chicago close the last, three shows. Bridging the young with the old, Milwaukee area youths are featured not only as a part of the performance, but have created a special art exhibit appearing in the Scottish Rite Center. The Youth Art Exhibit, "Off the Wall," will be presented in the hallways for public display. Veteran artists also grace the hallways with their work. Additional vendors, as well as information on substance abuse and AIDS prevention are also available. MiROC's ensemble heavily encourages audience participation. The family-friendly show is a unique musical experience that marries contemporary rock styles with dance, design, and drama.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for cocktails and appetizers, show's opening performance begins at 7:30 p.m.
