Twelfth Night

By William Shakespeare

Directed by Stephanie Barnett

A comedy about a young lady who finds herself shipwrecked in a strange land, disguises herself as a man, and goes to work as a page to the duke. The duke sends her to woo a countess for him, and the countess falls in love with the page, who has fallen hopelessly in love with the duke. Beaver Dam Area Community Theater's first Shakespearean production!

This Shakespeare comedy is filled with humor, intrigue, and the typical gender-bending. As a STAGE II show, rehearsals have included workshops by Wisconsin Shakespeare actor Joe Foust and sword fighting expert Lloyd Clark. Twelve area actors perform under the direction of UW-Milwaukee student, Stephanie Barnett.
