The Merry Wives of Windsor

By William Shakespeare

Directed by John Neville-Andrews

Laugh for laugh, this may be Shakespeare's funniest play. Sir John Falstaff, one legendary heavyweight, is on the lam in a respectable middle-class English town.

It's big dough he's after and he doesn't mind getting at it through a little roll in the hay with well-to-do merry wives. No desperate housewives they. To this wily pair of queens, our wanton jack of hearts is an easy mark. There will be plenty of rolling all right. In the aisles. As the ladies put this old war horse through one hilarious humiliation after another until the entire town joins in by the end.

Our lead show. A huge crowd pleaser, guaranteed to have you in stitches as it threads that fine line between over-the-top farcical romp and high comedy. Please bring the kids. Theyíll be laughing about this one for days.
