Uncle Vanya

By Anton Chekhov

Directed by Risa Brainin

This tale of a young unmarried woman and her bachelor uncle is considered to be one of the greatest plays written in the last 300 years. Set in a country estate in late 19th Century Russia, Sonya and her Uncle Vanya struggle to make enough income to maintain the estate and provide for Sonya's father and his indolent young wife. Chekov illuminates the beauty, comedy and pain that haunts us all.
