'Love Rides the Rails', or 'Will the Mail Train Run Tonight?'

By Morland Cary

Directed by Glen & Bruce Wiegert

Do the Good Guys Always Win? Does Love Really Conquer All? These and other questions are answered in this rip-roarin', rootin'-tootin' Ol' West "meller-drammer." Simon Darkway seeks to control for his own vile purposes the Walker Valley, Pine Bush & Pacific R.R. Opposing him are the gallant Truman Pendennis, the beauteous Prudence Hopewell, the Widow Hopewell, and staunch Harold Standfaster. Assisting him are Dirk Sneath, a viper of a man, and Carlotta Cortez, the sultry siren with a heart of gold. Swiftly and hilariously, the plot unfolds, leading to a tremendous climax when our hero is bound by the villains to the tracks in the path of an on-rushing train. Will the young lovers be reunited? Will the railroad be saved? Only the cast knows, and they're not telling! You'll have to come to the show to discover the strength of true love. This production showcasing the talents of students of Pecatonica High School promises to be a light-hearted, laugh-a-minute show chock full of twists and turns. You'll be "on track" for a great evening.
