Father of Fortune

Similar in tone to Our Town, the play concerns the impact of the murder of a well-known and powerful priest on the people in a small Wisconsin community. Through intrigue, mystery and moral questioning, the play seeks to answer "Why would someone kill a priest?"

Father of Fortune is the first in a series of world premier productions of original plays written by Madison area playwrights. The MATC production will be directed by Mary Ellen Graf and produced by the playwright, Wm. Patrick Barlow, with stage management by Chris Lechner and lighting design by Corey Helser.

Produced by MATC Performing Arts at the Mitby Theater, MATC Truax Campus, 3550 Anderson Street, Madison.
