A Delicate Balance

By Edward Albee

Directed by Robert Kimbrough

A Pulitzer Prize winner. A man and woman, whose marriage has drifted loose and who harbor the wife's alcoholic sister from the shocks of the world, receive in one night both their daughter who has come home after the wreck of her fourth marriage, and a couple who are their best friends and who have just had the shock of their lives. The couple move in and lock the door, and before they finally leave, everyone in the family is made to face the reality of the same terror, to recognize how they lost love, frittered it away, until now they are at that delicate balance between sanity and madness.
