Date: Fri, 28 Dec 2001 15:04:24 EST"The Boys Of Winter," an original comedy/drama is rapidly building in popularity. The play opened in Los Angeles in the summer of 2000 and has played recently in Phoenix and Minneapolis. The lead in the LA production was Adam Frost, co-star of the NBC Saturday morning series "Hangtime."
"The Boys Of Winter" is a comedy/drama about five seniors on the high school hockey team in a small Minnesota town.
It's 1966 and the hockey team of White Lake High School is focused on winning the state championship. The players are young, inexperienced in love and life, and don't have a care in the world.
But this is the time of the Vietnam era and the boys of winter are about to grow up fast.
The reviewers are saying:
"The Boys Of Winter" is a story about choices, the lack of choices, and the consequences thereof with just enough sugar to make the medicine go down.
NO HO NEWS
Sincere and genuine..more than wonderful..good clean fun. The writing of Dean B. Kaner, Eric Small and Jeffrey Vlaming managed to capture that era perfectly.
