Verona Area Community Theater

Verona Area Community Theater, Inc., offers the Verona, Wisconsin, area community opportunities to participate in and enjoy all facets of community theater. The mission for VACT, Inc., is to support productions and projects that augment and enhance the artistic experience for all who participate whether on stage, behind the scenes or in the audience. These productions are understood to be occasions to refine skills, learn new ones, and have fun. It is an organization goal to offer affordable access to theater to the wider community and to provide educational activities for Verona area residents in all aspects of staging theatrical productions.

Teen Musical Theater Dance Workshop - starts 6/12/13

What: Obtain dance techniques and performance confidence by learning the choreography from two varying Broadway shows!

When: Wednesday- June 12, 2013 (8:30am – 1:00pm)

Who: Students in grades 7-12

Where & Instruction: Verona Area Community Theater Building, 405 Bruce Street, Verona, WI ~Choreographed/Directed by Marsha Heuer (10 year VACT member; licensed Middle and High School Teacher and certified Drama & Theater Teacher)

Cost: $30 (includes specialized choreography with notes; juice and snacks, and a CD of Broadway songs for performance and fun)

********Only $25 if you register for June 13th Acting Workshop (TOTAL: $50 for the two workshops!) ***********

********Students who register for ALL FOUR Teen Workshops (two in June and two in August) will also receive a special VACT sling bag to carry all of your theater stuff in! **********

Teen Acting Workshop - starts 6/13/13

What: One Day Acting Workshop for teenagers to gain confidence and experience in a variety of theatrical styles, including Shakespeare, Improv, Comedy and Drama! Participants will learn to understand their acting instrument (the body) and have fun while becoming more confident with auditions and performing onstage!

When: Thursday, June 13, 2013 (8:30am – 1:00pm)

Who: Students in grades 7-12

Where & Instruction: Verona Area Community Theater Building, 405 Bruce Street, Verona, WI ~Choreographed/Directed by Marsha Heuer (10 year VACT member; licensed Middle and High School Teacher and certified Drama & Theater Teacher)
