Unity of Madison Theatre Call for Scripts

Unity of Madison Theatre is planning to produce a play that would promote campaign finance reform in Wisconsin.

Submitted scripts should be for written for an approximately 5 to 15 minute play or initial reading. Writers can consult my blog at: danecountyalmanac.blogspot.com or google Wikipedia for information on campaign finance reform. The play can be satirical, light and entertaining and/or portray a politician, lobbyist, money exchange, curruption, playing to pay at our State Capitol themes. Writers might also visit the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign website: wisdc.org. to learn more about this issue. Our plan calls for the play to both be presented/read on the radio and made into a stage production as well. The target audience might be older, retired seniors and faith related congregations but also for all ages as well.

Our time line at this time calls for the call for scripts to go out by not later than December 15th and the committee script reviews and a winner announced by not later than January 15th. Since this is a new experience for me I am requesting your assistance and any information you might have regarding this request. You can reach me by e-mail or call me at 608-249-5672. I would be most happy to meet and talk with you about this at your earliest convenience.

Thanks so much for your attention to this request, Respectfully, William R. (Bill) Benedict, Artistic Director.
