Further Information on this event and the Boulevard Theatre:
Attending the Ensemble's "VERSE & VINO" will allow patrons to enjoy poetry at the Boulevard, wander neighboring businesses, sample fine wines, savor tasty appetizers, bid on great silent auction items, and take a chance on raffle prizes.
Local friends and businesses are providing the food, auction items and raffles prizes. It's a grand way to close the Boulevard's 24th season, greet spring in Milwaukee and meet the supporters of both the Boulevard and Bay View!
The Boulevard Theatre has broken artistic ground, helped nurture local talent and provided unique theatrical experiences to its community. Boulevard's surrounding neighborhood has (thanks to the impact & influence of this small "Johnny Appleseed of the arts") been transformed from an economically challenged area with little hope to a thriving business sector and cultural destination.
The Boulevard's alumni have graduated from early career opportunities on the Boulevard stage to starring turns at the Skylight Opera, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, The Milwaukee Rep and many more arts organizations throughout the country. Its technical and administrative alumni have grown from enthusiastic beginners to respected professionals in the Milwaukee arts community.
We are the proverbial proud parents to a thriving neighborhood and artistic community! Join us at this year’s event and see the both the Boulevard and its now-thriving neighborhood in action.
