tick...Tick...BOOM!

By Jonathan Larson

Directed by Meghan Randolph

Before he wrote RENT, Jonathan Larson had another story to tell...his own. Larson wrote this musical in 1990 on the verge of his thirtieth birthday, as he questioned whether he should continue to pursue his career as a composer. The show is a staged diary of Jonathan's trials and conflicts as he struggled to make a living as an artist-having no idea that he would create a rock show that would change the American musical theatre. tick...Tick...BOOM! was shelved as Larson began work on RENT, but was revived by his family after Jonathan's tragic death, as RENT was playing in venues all over the world. Funny, touching, and inspiring, and filled with music quite reminiscent of RENT, this show is a must for anyone who has ever struggled to follow their dreams.
