The Sweet Lowdown

The Sweet Lowdown consists of two one-act plays: Two Diabetics and The Sweet Lowdown. The first tells the story of a Type 1 and a Type 2. The second uses music, dance and comedy to explain the science and dispel the myths, going beyond Type 1 and 2 to explain the other kinds of diabetes. The Sweet Lowdown is funded in part by a grant from Diabetes Hands Foundation Seeds.

You still have a chance to join The Sweet Lowdown! Auditions at 1:30 on September 15 at Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center. Actors and dancers needed. No experience necessary. Multiple roles available. Ages 16-60. The Sweet Lowdown consists of two one-act shows. The first play, "Two Diabetics", is about a young man discovering he's diabetic. The second play, "The Sweet Lowdown", is a vaudeville-style entertainment using comic sketches, music and dance to explore the science and skewer the myths.
The show opens on Friday, October 25th for a four-week run. A few parts have been cast but many roles are still open.
