The Straw Chair

Set in the first half of the eighteenth century, The Straw Chair tells the story of seventeen-year-old Isabel and her minister husbandís arrival on the remote island of Hirta, Scotland. Their encounter with the island's inhabitants, and especially the outspoken and fearless Rachel of Grange, will change their lives forever.
