Set in Paris in 1971, The Lizard King is a two-act play by Jay Jeff Jones, inspired by the Lost Paris Tapes. The Doors frontman Jim Morrison is bloated, boozy, sick and cynical, but is still a ferociously dangerous poet. Motivated by mysterious forces, Jim spills his words into a tape recorder, filling it with poetry and memories of his troubled relationship with Pam Courson and his friend and romantic rival Tom Baker, drawing us into the fabulous world of gods and monsters that propelled Jim into his spectacular stardom. Features puppetry and extensive special effects.

Casting the following roles: Jim Morrison, white male, age 27; Tom Baker, white male, cowboy build and swagger, age 31; Syd, white male, age 26-33, burly build; Pam Courson, white female, age 24, petite and fair skinned, redhead a plus; Miami, ages 28-33, white female, Warhol Factory Girl, tall and exotic looks a plus. Also casting three Puppeteers/Background Ensemble, including one female with dance experience.
