The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Book by Peter Parnell, Music by Alan Menken, Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz
Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney

Directed by Mark E. Schuster

The musical drama based on Victor Hugo’s famous novel about Quasimodo, the lonely bell ringer of Notre Dame de Paris. When the titular hunchback decides he wants to leave the safety of the cathedral bell tower in order to explore the streets of Paris, his life is changed forever when he meets the beautiful gypsy Esmeralda. Dashing soldier Phoebus and conflicted priest Frollo, Quasimodo’s caretaker, also vie for Esmeralda’s attention.

Adapted for the stage from the Disney movie musical, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame features memorable songs from the film such as “Out There,” “Hellfire,” and “The Bells Of Notre Dame” as well as new music like “Rest And Recreation” and “Flight Into Egypt.” This dramatic, beautiful musical deals with some serious themes and imagery.
