AUDITIONS IN SEPTEMBER for THE FABULOUS CRONE SHOW 2008: SUPERCRONES

Where: Madison Senior Center, 330 W. Mifflin St, Madison 53703 (near Overture Ctr ramp)

When:
Monday, September 10, 7pm
Tuesday, September 11, 7pm
Wednesday, September 12, 7pm
Or by appointment, 608-663-5814

What time: 7pm. We'll see everyone who comes at 7pm but don't guarantee we'll stay later than 8pm, so don't be late.

Who should audition? Women 50 or older. We will also consider men and people of all ages.

What:
Your monologue, song, dance, lecture, novelty act, improv or other performance piece. Note: pieces by individuals should be NO LONGER than 4 (four) minutes. Pieces by groups should be NO LONGER than 7 (seven) minutes. We will consider longer pieces, but short pieces will get preference. We will consider multiple pieces by the same author, but will begin by giving everyone a chance at one piece before considering multiples.

You do not need to memorize your piece but be prepared to perform it and not just tell us about it. If you are trying, for example, to decide between two songs, sing both for us.

We will have a small number of parts for people in short plays, but for the most part want original work by YOU. If you wish to read a monologue or poem written by someone else, YOU are in charge of getting permission to perform it and paying any royalties.

Don't have a piece but still want to participate? Want to show a (short) film but can't figure out the technology? Want to crew? Call Jan 608-663-5814

Does your piece include men or women younger than 50? Don't worry! Anything that promotes a positive view of older people will be considered.

No You Can't -- Here are the only don'ts
No nudity, no swearing, and all pieces MUST be appropriate for an all-ages audience and respectful to seniors.

FOUR REQUIRED REHEARSALS FOR ALL PERFORMERS
Evenings Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, January 27-30
