The Diviners

By Jim Leonard, Jr.

Directed by Deanna Reed

A rural Indiana farm community during the Great Depression brings a back-sliding preacher and a gentle mentally handicapped boy with the gift of divining together. These two help each other and the townsfolk divine the meaning of faith, loss and hope. Jim Leonard Jr.’s heart-wrenching tragedy echoes Steinbeck’s classics.

Performed by youth, ages 11-17.
