Richard III: East-West Fusion

By William Shakespeare

Directed by David Furumoto

“Now is the winter of our discontent.” We close our 2013-4 season with a classic tale of murder, lust, and betrayal as the Bard’s infamous hunchback, the Duke of Gloucester, once again claws his way to the top. In our production, director David Furumoto infuses Shakespeare's iconic history play with the haunting and lush visuals of Kabuki to create stunningly heightened theatricality in this new adaptation. Join us for an evening of Shakespeare’s grisly tale of the mighty and terrifying Richard III.
