The Princess and the Pea

Directed by Diane Sullivan

This is a humorous version of the classic tale, The Princess and the Pea. Prince Valiant (with his sidekick, Donald Dunce) set out to find a bride. They meet a variety of odd characters: Stella the Strong, Diana Dingaling, Beaulah the Beautiful, Barbiette and her entourage and more. None of the princesses capture Prince Valiant's heart. He returns home, and, lo and behold--a princess comes to him. Grumpy Queen Granny won't let Valiant marry her unless she proves that she's a real Princess. A fun evening/afternoon. Especially recommended for children.
