Dance Wisconsin presents New Works 2009 “Dance For Life”
This is a special benefit for Breast Cancer and Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation.
Showcased will be a variety of new pieces by local choreographers, Chelsey Dahm, Ashley Dahm, Celia Pierquet-Flores and Danielle Dickert Fuhrmann. A special piece “Run for Life” choreographed by Ms. Dickert to the music of Melissa Etheridge is dedicated to the many who are surviving breast cancer. National choreographers, Jason and Nicole Cisler, currently residing in Seattle will be setting a new piece for this fall concert. This performance is supported by a grant by the Wisconsin Arts Board. The company includes young people from the area but also has several professional dancers in their roster, including Ashley Dahm, former dancer with Joel Hall Dancers, Celia Pierquet-Flores formerly with MB II and DCDC II and Danielle Dickert Fuhrmann, formerly with Disney World and Fireside Theater. These dancers were former students of Monona Academy of Dance, the official school of Dance Wisconsin.
