The Mystery of Irma Vep

By Charles Ludlum

Directed by Barbara Clayton

University Theatre will kick off the academic year with encore performances of The Mystery of Irma Vep. Ludlam's campy cabaret comedy played to sold-out houses this summer in the Hemsley Theatre, all seven characters in the play performed by veteran University Theatre actors Ryan Winkles and Jim Stauffer. The Mystery of Irma Vep combines equal parts Agatha Christie, Monster Mash, and the Marx Brothers. Don't miss the play that the New York Times raves as "Far and away the funniest two hours anywhere!"
