Every year, Bellydancing UW, a univeristy-affiliated dance troupe, hosts a fun-filled workshop and glittering evening show! This year, our organization will proudly present its annual dance workshop and show on Saturday, March 10th, 2007.

Our events will be headlined by the wonderful international bellydance star, Meera, who will provide in-depth instruction on the basics of various Indian dance forms, beautifully fusing them with Middle Eastern dance, in the morning followed by an exciting choreography workshop in the afternoon. Vendors will be available, selling exotic costuming, jewelry, and music! The evening will conclude with our 7th annual show, featuring fantastic performances from Meera, Bellydancing UW, and numerous talented dancers from the Midwest!

Schedule of Events

9:30AM- Registration/Check-in for workshops at Tripp Commons in the historic Memorial Union (2nd floor)
10AM-12:30PM- Indian Fusion Workshop (dance shoes recommended)
12:30PM-2PM - Lunch (bring your own or visit delightful restaurants on State Street)
2PM- 4:30PM - Choreography Workshop
7:30PM- 10:00PM - Spring Show at the Wisconsin Union Theater in the Memorial Union (1st Floor) with amazing performances from Meera, Bellydancing UW and other great bellydancers!
