Ugly's odd, gawky looks instantly incite predjuidce from his family and neighbors. Separated from the farm and pursued by an hungry Cat, Ugly must find his way home. Along his rollicking and harrowing journey, he not only discovers his true beauty and glorious destiny, but also finds love and acceptance in all its forms.

Auditions will be held on the following days:

The musical version of the classic UGLY DUCKLING story. This musical beat out THE LION KING for the The Olivier Award, England's version of the Tony Award. A beautiful story of acceptance with a score full of catchy tunes.

AUDITIONS: All performers must prepare a 1 minute cutting from any Broadway or Disney song. Bring your music- an accompanist will be provided. You may be asked to read from the script- there will be no dance audition.
ROLES: 4 males and 8 females ages high school to adult; 8 boys and 6 girls ages 8-12.
REHEARSALS: Generally 3 nights per week from 5:30pm-7pm from January 10 through February 28.
PERFORMANCES: 2 school matinees and 4 public performances March 1, 2, 3 at The State Theatre.
