Holiday Harmony: A KidStage Celebration of the Holidays

Directed by Courtney A. Fayle

Come celebrate the holiday’s with SouthWisco KidStage, as we prepare a special program that embraces this universal season of joy. KidStage’s Holiday Harmony Showcase is a 4 week program including theatre activities intended for children between the ages of 3 and 14. Students participate in holiday focused art & crafts projects, dramatic activities, and music & games which are used to enhance: teamwork, creativity, concentration, movement, voice, improvisation and much more. This 4 week Holiday Hullabaloo culminates in a final holiday showcase that would leave the Grinch in a festive spirit!

Auditions

Auditions will be held on the following days:

12/1/2011
12/8/2011

Since this is only a 4-week class we will be beginning the audition process on our first day of class, December 1st!

Auditions do not need to be extensive; a 30 second to 1 minute monologue is more than enough to get a sense for a child’s comfort on stage. Materials do not need to be memorized, but it is recommended as you will deliver a more natural performance. Auditions can be from a child’s favorite book, poem, a short story or even a monologue for those that are more ambitious. For those children unable to read yet, we ask that they do whatever is the most comfortable for them, such as simply introducing themselves, stating their age and perhaps a fun fact about themselves or their family. This introduction will be asked of all participating actors. All auditions will be held in front of the entire group and casting will be announced by the following session with rehearsals beginning immediately after the announcement, a cast list will also be emailed to those students providing me with an e-mail address.
