Helen

By Ellen McLaughlin

Directed by Shannon Davis

Helen of Troy – the face that launched a thousand ships. But what do we know of the woman behind the legend? Everyone has an opinion about her – now it’s her turn to tell her story. After seventeen years, Helen is living in an Egyptian hotel, waiting for Menelaus to retrieve her and contemplating what the gods – and humans – want from her. ‘Helen’ is a thought-provoking look at the inner life of the world’s most famous woman, and asks the difficult question – what is beauty worth?
