Walk, bike, drive, hike or snowshoe to Broom Street Theater for the premiere of "Greetings from Fitzwalkerstan", the improbable tale of the rise and fall of S. Winsome Walker, 45th governor of the State of Wisconsin! You say, "You Want A Revolution?!!?!?" Well, now's your chance!!
Directed by Odari Kimani, with original songs by Michael Dilthey and Brian Leahy Doyle. "Greetings from Fitzwalkerstan" will run from February 13 - March 7, 2015, with performances every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 8:00 P.M.

Broom Street Theater is proud to announce open auditions for "Greetings from Fitzwalkerstan", directed by Odari Kimani. No appointment necessary. Auditions will be held at The Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center (953 Jenifer Street Madison, WI.) on the following days:
Monday 12/1/2014 @ 7:00-10:00 P.M.
Tuesday 12/2/2014 @ 7:00-10:00 P.M.
Monday 12/8/2014 @ 7:00-10:00 P.M.
Tuesday 12/9/2014 @ 7:00-10:00 P.M.
AND
Wednesday 12/10/2014 @ 8:00-10:00 P.M. (Callbacks)
Casting 9 speaking roles and 4-6 ensemble members. Ensemble members will play 2 or more characters! Cross-gender casting will be considered. We encourage all ethnicities, body types, vocal ranges and acting levels - ALL who are interested!

All are encouraged to submit a current head shot and resume (if available). Actors are required to prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary/comedic monologue, (or another reading that best represents their skill set), as well as an up-tempo/contemporary vocal selection (i.e. rock/pop musical in style, or Broadway) NOT to exceed 3 minutes. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in your key. (NO a Capella singing OR taped accompaniment).
Auditions will consist of cold readings & singing from the script. Callbacks will primarily consist of a dance audition. Come dressed in comfortable clothes & appropriate footwear, and be prepared to move.
Rehearsals will start in late December, with built-in breaks for the holidays. Please bring an individual schedule from December through March to the audition and be prepared to share all conflicts you may have or anticipate having.
