Frankenstein: The Radio Play

Adapted by Philip Grecian

Directed by Melissa Schnepper

“Frankenstein: The Radio Play,” is written by Philip Grecian and adapted from the classic novel “Frankenstein” by Mary Wollstencraft Shelley. It tells the chilling tale of a monster created by the young scientist, Dr. Victor Frankenstein. The doctor cobbles together a body and, one fateful night, brings it to life. When Dr. Frankenstein is repulsed by his creation, the monster sets in motion a chain of violence and terror. “Frankenstein: The Radio Play” re-creates an old-time, 1940s-style radio show produced in front of a live audience. Actors portray multiple roles, sound effects are created live on stage, and musical old-time radio ads for local sponsors are woven into the show.
