CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – FOUND SPACES THEATER
Ever wanted to do a puppet show off the back of your pickup truck? A comedy in the parking lot of a funeral home? A conversation on the table top of a diner? This is your chance!
Broom Street Theater (BST) has openings for a number of performance projects in nontraditional spaces—back yards, coffee shops, street corners, parks—any place you can get permission to use where you can invite the public to see your show. Performances will be at the location of your choice, any time of day, any day of the week during the period July 12-20, 2013.
BST will include all selected projects on a map of times and places and audiences will be encouraged to tour the entire offering. Admission to these events will be free, though we’ll pass the hat for donations to BST.
Each selected project will receive approximately $25.
Artists are responsible for securing all necessary permits and permissions in writing before their project is approved.
Submit your project idea to Broom Street Theater Artistic Director Heather Renken. Include: the basic idea of your project (a script if you have one), the location, and your plans for casting and implementing your piece.
Grab this opportunity to create something unique and innovative!
